"I have applied to some schools (University of California). They are very expensive and my uncle recommended the service school. I want to be a pilot, so I applied to the Air Force Academy first , and when I learned about it. other academic schools, I also applied to them, "said Madrigal.

Madrigal was commissioned in 2007 and attended the Chief Engineer II Course and the Chief Engineer Course. His first assignment was at Fort Riley, Kansas, where he was assigned to the 1st Engineer Battalion under the 555th Engineer Brigade, "The Triple Nickel".
